What does -더라 (deora) mean in Korean?

How to Use

Used to tell a friend about something you experienced yourself.

Rule: This is 반말; the polite form is -더라고요. You must have witnessed it yourself, and you cannot use it to describe your own feelings — say 좋더라 about a place, not about yourself.

Examples

그 카페 진짜 예쁘더라.

That cafe was really pretty.

생각보다 쉽더라.

It was easier than I thought.

사람이 엄청 많더라.

There were tons of people.
