What does -어 가다 (eo gada) mean in Korean?

How to Use

Used when something is gradually progressing toward a point in the future.

Rule: Choose -아 가다 after a stem with ㅏ or ㅗ (살아 가다), -어 가다 elsewhere (되어 가다), and 해 가다 for 하다 verbs. Compare with -어 오다, which looks from the past up to now.

Examples

거의 다 되어 가요.

It's almost done.

날이 밝아 가요.

The day is breaking.

조금씩 익숙해져 가요.

I'm slowly getting used to it.
