How to use 에서 왔어요 (eseo wasseoyo) in Korean — "I'm from ~"

How to Use

Used to say which country or city you come from.

Rule: 에서 marks a starting point, so it attaches to the place (미국에서 왔어요). Do not use 에, which marks a destination.

미국에서 왔어요.

I'm from the United States.

서울에서 왔어요.

I'm from Seoul.

부산에서 왔어요.
