~것 같아요

Used to soften a guess or an opinion so it doesn't sound like a flat assertion. Koreans use it constantly to stay polite.

Rule: The ending changes with the word type. Verbs take -을 것 같아요 for a guess about the future (갈 것 같아요), adjectives take -은/-ㄴ 것 같아요 (좋은 것 같아요), and for the past use -은 것 같아요 (간 것 같아요).
