What does -고서 (goseo) mean in Korean?
How to Use
Used to show that the first action was completed before the second one began.
Rule: Both clauses must have the same subject. Never add a tense marker before -고서 — say 먹고서, not 먹었고서.
Examples
밥을 먹고서 나갔어요.
I went out after eating.
그 말을 듣고서 화가 났어요.
I got angry after hearing that.
사과하고서 마음이 편해졌어요.
I felt better after apologizing.
