What does -자마자 (jamaja) mean in Korean?
How to Use
Used when the second action happens immediately after the first.
Rule: Attach -자마자 directly to the verb stem and never add a tense marker before it — say 도착하자마자, not 도착했자마자. The tense is shown in the second clause.
Examples
수업 끝나자마자 갈게요.
I'll go as soon as class ends.
도착하자마자 연락했어요.
I called as soon as I arrived.
보자마자 알았어요.
I knew the moment I saw it.
