What does -는다고 (neundago) mean in Korean?

How to Use

Used to report what someone else said or what you heard.

Rule: The ending changes with the word type. Verbs ending in a consonant take -는다고 (먹는다고), verbs ending in a vowel take -ㄴ다고 (간다고), adjectives take -다고 (좋다고), and nouns take -(이)라고 (학생이라고).

Examples

지수가 내일 온다고 했어요.

Jisu said she's coming tomorrow.

여기 맛있다고 들었어요.

I heard this place is good.

요즘 바쁘다고 했어요.

He said he's busy these days.
