Our trip started with one thing going wrong after another. "I brought a backup charger in case mine died," I said, half-joking. We needed it within the hour.
My phone was at two percent when we got lost downtown. "I'll call you as soon as I land," I'd promised my friend earlier. Now I just hoped the map would load.
We finally found the shop we'd been looking for all afternoon. "By the time we arrived, the store was closed," I sighed. Bad timing followed us all day.
Still, we stayed calm and started troubleshooting together. "Once we find the problem, the fix is easy," I reminded her. Half the battle is not panicking.
Back home, I pulled a spare from under the mat with a grin. "That's why I always keep a spare key," I said. A little planning saves a lot of stress.
