The line picked up after two rings. "Hi, can I speak to the manager, please?" I asked. They put me through right away.
The signal dropped for a second downtown. "Can you hear me okay now?" I asked. She said it was clear again.
I saw three notifications when I looked down. "Sorry, I missed your call earlier," I said. He laughed and said no problem at all.
Her voice came in and out like a bad radio. "Sorry, you're breaking up a little," I said. I moved closer to the window for signal.
Someone knocked just as we started talking. "Hold on a second, someone's at the door," I said. I was back on the line in no time.
