I hated to do it the morning of. "I'm sorry, something came up at home," I texted. She was kind and said no problem at all.
My morning was suddenly overloaded. "Can we push the meeting back an hour?" I asked. The team agreed without any trouble.
I wanted to confirm before locking it in. "Does Tuesday still work for you?" I asked. She double-checked and said it was perfect.
My day had completely fallen apart. "I won't be able to make it tonight," I said. We agreed to try again next week.
