A Day at the Desk

직장 일상

My inbox had ballooned overnight. "I'm swamped with emails this morning," I said. She offered to take a few off my hands.
A dentist appointment landed in the middle of my shift. "Can you cover the front desk for me?" I asked. She said sure, no problem.
She wanted to stay updated on the project. "I'll loop you in on the details," I promised. I added her to the email thread right away.
Nobody had heard from the vendor in days. "I'll touch base with the supplier today," I said. A quick call cleared everything up.
Three things went wrong before lunch. "Honestly, it's been one of those days," I sighed. She brought me a coffee without a word.
