I stopped a friendly-looking local on the corner. "Excuse me, how do I get to the museum?" I asked. He drew a quick map in the air.
He pointed down the busy street and smiled. "It's just past the old bakery," he said. Sure enough, I spotted it right away.
He gestured with his whole arm to be clear. "Take a left at the second light," he said. I repeated it back so I wouldn't forget.
The building was huge and bright blue. "It's the big blue one — you can't miss it," he said. He was right; it stood out a mile away.
After a few turns I started to doubt myself. "Sorry, am I headed the right way?" I asked. A jogger nodded and waved me on.
