The price tag was in a currency I didn't know. "How much is this in dollars?" I asked. She tapped it into a converter for me.
The market vendor smiled but held firm. "Any chance of a small discount?" I asked. He knocked off a little with a wink.
The vendor pushed for a quick yes. "It's nice, but I'll think about it," I said. We walked off and compared prices elsewhere.
The vase was beautiful but far too big to carry. "Do you ship internationally?" I asked hopefully. They did, and boxed it up safely.
I set my few items on the counter. "That's all for today, thank you," I said. She bagged them and waved goodbye.
