The first flakes drifted past the window. "Look, it's starting to snow!" I said. We dropped everything to watch it fall.
Dark clouds were stacking up fast on the horizon. "Looks like we're in for a storm," I said. We hurried to bring the chairs inside.
The wind cut right through my jacket. "It's freezing — bundle up before you go," I said. She grabbed a scarf and gloves.
I checked the forecast before making plans. "It's supposed to clear up by Saturday," I said. So we booked the picnic anyway.
