The dog was circling by the door with his leash. "I'm taking him for a walk," I called out. He spun in happy circles at the word.
The barking had gone on since sunrise. "He won't stop barking at the mailman," I sighed. The poor mailman just kept his distance.
The food bowl by the kitchen sat empty. "Hey, have you fed the cat yet?" I asked. She gasped and rushed to fill it.
A small dog trotted up to sniff my shoe. "Aw, does he bite?" I asked the owner. She laughed and said he only licks.
The fluffy dog wagged its tail at me. "He's adorable — can I pet him?" I asked. The owner smiled and said of course.
